The gold medals went to Mar de Flores Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc Organics, Viña Mayte Cabernet Sauvignon Organic, Don Juan Chardonnay Brut Organic, Carmela Chardonnay Sparkling Brut Organic and Finca las Virtudes Tempranillo Roble Organic.
On the other hand, the Silver Medals went to Viña Mayte Organic Chardonnay and Don Juan Tempranillo Brut Rosé Organic.
At Bodegas Fernando Castro, we are still having recognition around the world, adding 5 more medals than in 2021, in such an outstanding competition as the International Organic Awards.
On this occasion, we are very proud that our Viña Mayte and Mar de Flores Pouch format has triumphed, reaffirming itself not only as a comfortable and practical alternative, but also as a tasty and top-quality one. 4 varietal proposals ranging from Syrah or Cabernet, to Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay, thus offering 4 alternatives for all types of palates and moments, pairing perfectly with any dish on your table.
And continuing with another of our most successful formats, the Bag in Box, we cannot forget to highlight the success of Finca Las Virtudes tempranillo aged in oak, which has won the gold medal thanks to its pleasant aromas of red fruits with a touch of vanilla, as well as having an elegant and fruity finish.
And, finally, in the traditional format, we have 3 sparkling wines full of freshness and flavour that have also been rated very positively by the jury of the event. Don Juan brut chardonnay and its tempranillo rosé variety, as well as our Carmela Brut, have succeeded in offering a special and elegant alternative for desserts or appetizers.
The International Organic Awards are a European benchmark in terms of organic wines, with the members of its jury being buyers from import and distribution companies, specialized journalists or experts in all kinds of organic products. In this way, we continue to bet on a market that is becoming more prominent and influential at global level every day.
