Today Bodegas Fernando Castro adds new recognitions to our extensive list of national awards on the occasion of the 46th Regional Competition for Quality Wines, held during the National Country Fair, FERCAM.
This regional wine contest is the oldest in Spain. This year 25 wineries from Castilla-La Mancha registered its wines with a total of 77 wines registered, whose overall quality was highlighted by the tasting panel in the contest held last June 29th. The competition awards three medals for each of the following categories of wine: White, Rosé, Harvest Red, Crianza, Reserva and Sparkling wines.
In this new edition the wining wines for Bodegas Fernando Castro are Carmela (moscato 100%) which has won gold medal in the category of sparkling wines; and Finca Las Virtudes (100% Verdejo) which has won the silver medal in the category of white wines.
The awards ceremony of the 46th Regional Competition Quality Wines will take place on Sunday July 10th at the Conference Room of Fercam at 13.00, for the fair closing of Fercam 2016.
With these two awards Bodegas Fernando Castro approaches the final stretch of the season 2015/16, and begins to prepare its facilities for the nearby harvest.
